Nationwide puts 'knowledge' into technology by holding digital 'Tea and Tech' classes from its Bromley branch

Nationwide Building Society’s Bromley Branch is providing a helping hand to its members by offering support and advice on how to use its Mobile Banking App.

The Society, which is committed to helping people with their digital banking, is holding a face-to-face ‘Tea and Tech’ event on Monday 28 March at the branch, located at 77 High Street.

It comes as more members want to experience the benefits of being able to bank digitally, particularly for basic transactions.

The event provides free help and advice to members looking to use the Nationwide Banking App, offering tutorials on how to log in and send money, set up standing orders and keep safe from online fraud. The event is designed to help educate members, provide a range of demos as well as giving them the opportunity to ask questions.

Georgina Luffman, Deputy Branch Manager at Nationwide’s Croydon branch and who will hosting the event, said: “Online banking is a fantastic service that makes it easy for our members to manage their accounts and money. These events offer an important guide to online banking through our Nationwide Banking App. It’s great to be able to help people become more confident managing their money online, and to talk through the security measures we have in place to keep our members and their money safe.”

During the event attendees will receive the latest information about Nationwide’s online banking, be able to talk to an advisor, and ask questions. Members can register online via this link or by visiting the branch.

About Nationwide Building Society

Nationwide is the world's largest building society. It is owned by its 16 million members and exists to serve their needs. The Society is one of the UK’s largest providers for mortgages, savings and current accounts, as well as being a major provider of ISAs, credit cards, personal loans, insurance and investments.

As a mutual organisation, Nationwide Building Society uses its unique position to help rebuild society by making a positive difference to the lives of its members and the communities in which they live. It is why Nationwide still values a branch network, supports communities through charitable grants, and places a premium on helping people thrive financially – whether helping them into a home of their own or giving them the financial support they need. Taking a stand and making a difference is what sets Nationwide apart. None of which would be possible without the dedicated service of its 18,000 employees.
